I’ve been going to concerts consistently since I was 14/15 years old. I got diagnosed with UCTD back in 2022, then eventually to RA sometime around 2024. Back when I was first diagnosed, I THOUGHT the pain was terrible then; now I wish I could go back to how I was back then. Since 2022, the pain I feel standing at a concert for 2 or more hours has gone from 0 to 8. Last night was a 12 hour music festival that I’ve been going to since 2015, and it was absolutely hell on my body. I used to be able to stand all day without an issue, now I’m shopping for a cane so I don’t have to give it up. I’m 27 and I feel like I’m 77, and I kinda hate it.
I’ve been going to the same single day music festival since I was 15, and recently have been struggling to make it through it. I’m trying to figure out if this is normal at our age, since we’re pushing 30, or if it means my rheumatoid arthritis is progressing faster and I should bring it up to my doctor next week.
My acid reflux is so bad that it causes my throat to close up at night on occasion. Most antacids interfere with either one of my rheumatoid arthritis medications, but famotidine apparently doesn’t, so my doctor prescribed that. Well now my stool is a super pale brown color and Google says that that is a “serious side effect that should be reported to the doctor”
I am very spice adverse, so I don’t eat anything spicy. I don’t drink anything other than water, so no alcohol or carbonation. I don’t eat tomatoes/tomato products, or citrus juices/fruit. And most of the meals I eat are lower in fat since I had issues with my gallbladder a couple years ago.
I’m not really sure what else I can do if I can’t be on this medication. The famotidine works, and my throat hasn’t closed up at night since being on it.
