Concussion

On 4/26 I was punched multiple times in the face/head. I remember things going black, getting dizzy and falling to the ground. Literally like a flash bang. I went to the ED that night because of the pressure in my forehead, in which I suffered a bilateral nasal fracture.

I didn’t think “much of it”. As I figured I may need a few days to heal and that the broken nose contributed to a lot of the physical symptoms. But also, I was on 1000mg of Tylenol everyday till I got a nasal reduction.

I noticed increase emotional sensitivity, insane amount of brain fog and memory issues ( procedural memory specifically) for example I hid money the next day after the incident, and I couldn’t remember at all where I placed them, they were eventually found but I can’t till this day recall that I placed them there. And many other incidents like this.

My vision when looking at a computer screen or phone seems to go slightly blurry than adjust. I’ have been zooming in on my laptop.

When studying, I’ll realize that I definitely recognize the “term” or subject matter but my brain can’t seem to retrieve the information or “comprehend” the questions being asked. & for a second I questioned my content mastery of the subject but than I went back to old practice questions that I did a few days before the incident that I got right (90%) and I couldn’t remember any of it.

I guess I don’t even know the point of this post, but I am just so frustrated with all of this and don’t know what to do. I have been crying daily since the incident. I’ve never suffered from any brain/facial trauma. CT scans done for both.

Just had a nasal reduction for a bilateral nose break. The FIRST thing I did waking up from anesthesia, was ask. “Do you know Bernoulli’s equation?” Lying there high while fully prepared to derive fluid dynamics for a nurse.

If the anesthesia suppressed my logic but my C/P memory is still firing at 100%, is this "peak performance" or do I just need a psych intervention? 💀
