Books are your only escape
so this is my first post in prolly like 5 years and idk how this goes but my analogy is that books are our only escape.
Every single teenager or someone in their twenties is totally affected by the fuckedupness of our attention spans, and this has gotten so worse over time that people feel that they are burning out quickly even while not doing shit with the attention/focus that they have, we're living in a brain fogged world and i fear people arnt putting as much attention as they should on this topic, our whole life revolves around our phones, through a screen we make bonds through a screen our emotions build up and we end up acting a certain way just because THAT reel we saw THAT day resonated with the situation we're going through.
People need to wake up man, we dont feel like we're being programmed but we are, people ask the question of why bad things are being normalized so much, its just because of this reason, we dont feel emotions as we used to, one moment we're feeling sad and the next we see something joyful and im the next we're feeling sad again, our brains are not meant to function this way, we're not supposed to process 5 different emotions in the span of 2 mins just because the algorithm showed us something we relate with.
Im getting off track but i feel like the only fix to this is to start reading books, only if you care enough about yourself and your attention span, it should annoy you at some point that you cant focus on one thing more than 30 mins.
I hope you lot think about this topic at least once and pick up a book and give it a try.
