Hey guys, I have a mobile service appointment booked but it's not until May 11th. Figured someone here might be able to assist until then.
About a week ago when I closed my trunk, it closed then immediately went back up and beeped. After some googling, I "reset calibration" by opening the push, holding the button on the lid down for several seconds until I heard a beep, then closed it with the button. That seemed to fix it, albeit the lid started only going about half way up.
Fast forward to yesterday, it did the same thing. This time the reset calibration did not fix it. Reset the car, removed saved locations - still just kept closing, not latching, then opening. I adjusted the 4 black bumpers in the truck, all the way screwed in, all the way out, and various points between. Nothing. So I just manually closed the trunk, however it won't latch.
The car still says the trunk is open, I keep getting notifications that the trunk is open - and since it's not latching either, I can just lift the trunk open. I also have to "accept risk" on the touchscreen when I drive. While I don't *think* the trunk lid is going to fling open despite not being latched - I do have to "force" it against the electronic motor if I lift it, still not ideal.
Tried gently pushing the lid down once closed hoping it would latch, but nothing.
Any suggestions? Either to secure it until my mobile appointment or any fix that I might be able to do myself that I've missed?
