2WPO and breasts are hypersensitive
I am two weeks post op. After surgery I managed pretty well, slightly sore where incisions were made but was all quite manageable. Had my dressings taken off 3 days ago and since then the sensitivity has ramped up! I don’t know if it’s coincidence or I’ve just hit another stage. I have also started a light period over the weekend, so it could be hormone related but I feel like I can’t touch my boobs at all. It’s like electricity wherever I touch them and it’s almost painful - definitely more than just feeling uncomfortable.
The incision underneath one of my boobs is warm, but not hot and I feel ok in myself, albeit a bit jaded today, but I was doing so well!
If I’m feeling worse or the pain is worse then I’ll reach out to the nurse to rule out an infection, but just wondered if this hypersensitivity is normal at this stage and if anyone else’s breast skin felt this way? I thought they were supposed to almost feel numb for a while. The sensitivity literally involves the whole surface area of both breasts and right around to my sides.
