The Design of the Colombian Civil War Map

I’d like to ask the devs (though I know they won’t reply because they have a social life just like me) how they decided to create the map of the Colombian Civil War.

I ask because, well, looking at our reality, the territories controlled by each faction are a bit poorly distributed:

- The government wouldn’t actually have that much control over the national territory due to its historical absence in certain areas

- The Carlos Patiño Front would swap positions with the ELN; they have a stronger presence in the south of the country

- The ELN, on the other hand... would be in the position of the FARC dissidents and would control territories such as Arauca, Vichada, and Guainía.

- And the Colombian Self-Defense Forces are the resurrection of the old AUC (United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia), that is, the paramilitaries. They would have a presence in parts of northern Antioquia and the Caribbean Coast. This is due to their historical presence in the 1990s to combat and eradicate the ELN. This also caused them to move to border territories.

I’m not saying this to criticize; I’d appreciate a little attention to Latin America, which is always overlooked in any HOI4 mod.... But I’m curious about this decision.

P.D: “The Last Map” is my vision of what it would really be like
