So, I recently bought the HD collection of Devil May Cry and just finished dmc3 and I have some questions because there are some parts of the story that are quite confusing (Please no spoilers for dmc4 or 5):

1- How can Dante use the devil trigger in dmc1 and dmc2 but then in dmc3 its like "unlocked" for the first time?

2- Why is vergil (nero angelo) in dmc1? Is he like a corrupted version of Vergil? And if thats the case, how does he know that Dante was in the castle? Why does he attacks Dante?

3- Why Vergil isn't in Devil May Cry 2? Not even mentioned one single time

4- How can Vergil have is own pendant in dmc3 if he lost it in dmc1 as nero angelo? Is dmc3 like a "reboot"? Like the real story begins in dmc3? Or the events of dmc3 happen before dmc1 and 2 (this would explain the devil trigger thing)
