I recently bought the Maxum X1 rack, but didn't choose to get their spotter arms because I'm not a fan of the safety strap integration. I assumed I could get any spotter arms given the cross-compatibility, but didn't take into consideration metric vs. imperial hole size/spacing. Because spotter arms use two attachment points, hole spacing variances are compounded.

Maxum is odd in that the uprights are metric (75mm x 75mm), but they use imperial hole size and spacing, I believe. Given Maxum's hybrid design, does anyone know if any metric spotter arms would work without noticeable slop? I assume the second hitch pin hole would not fit as it would be approximately 3-4mm off? I considered using a metal file to enlarge the hole.

I feel like I'm stuck in Maxum's ecosystem because of this odd design choice, at least for accessories with 2 attachment points. I'm now regretting not just buying Maxum's spotter arms for guarantee fit + they were offering a 20% discount with rack purchases. I asked if they'd offer me a courtesy discount since I just purchased the rack (delivered few days ago), but they refused.
