Razor HD Gen 2-E 1-6x24 (JM-1 BDC)
I bought it used about a month ago. First nice LPVO, Seemed fine no issues. Zeroing felt a little off with the adjustments but it zeroed and held fine. Holds worked great.
Getting ready for my first DMR match and today I started checking dope. First I confirmed zero and Chrono’d. I use AB Quantum, so I put in everything, got my chart. Went to dialing to true it and something was off.
My first target was at 475yds. AB said to dial to 8.5MOA, and the rounds were landing way high. Dialed down until I was dead on with 5MOA. Repeated it with target ranged at 430, AB said 6.5MOA, true was 4MOA.
Double checked and tripled checked all my inputs, environmental settings, BC, everything. Then I checked my holds at zero, and the substensions were dead on with AB’s chart. So I figured the turrets were overtracking.
I can’t find anywhere online about these LPVO’s overtracking, or what can cause it. And most of what I look up just sends me to something about the 3 set screws on the turret caps of the 4.5x-27x’s
But that made look inside mine and wonder what these 3 flathead screws were. And it looks like someone torqued the hell out of em based off the tool marks.
And ideas? I contacted vortex but it being Saturday I figured I won’t hear anything for a few days and I’m too autistic to just sit and wait. But also don’t wanna fuck it up. Any advice appreciated!
