Silly question but I'm not an ecologist so thought I'd ask. Plus I have been listening to old radio sightings of Huia and a little ember of hope always comes around. Silly but a man can dream.

eDNA is obviously an amazing tool that picks up dna of most organisms around the sample sight. My simple question is, would the DNA of Huia be able to be caught on the system? As in, do we have the DNA recorded so would see it in the sample.
