Hi everyone 🤓
I could really use some advice because my plant has been through a lot in the past few weeks 😅
It was repotted recently, and I was told to water it thoroughly after repotting… which I did (maybe too much). It never really bounced back and started drooping.
Then this morning, my cat knocked it over, pulled it out of the soil, and chewed on some of the leaves 🥲
I replanted it as best as I could (the soil was still quite wet), and I’m now trying to figure out what to do next.
Some details:
The stems are still firm (not mushy)
Several leaves are damaged or very droopy
It looks like a Dieffenbachia or Aglaonema
It’s currently in a pot with drainage
My questions:
- Should I cut back most of the damaged leaves/stems or leave them?
- Where should I cut exactly?
- Is the wet soil a big issue right now or should I just let it dry out?
Would you try propagating as a backup at this point?
Any help or reassurance would be super appreciated, I feel like this plant has been through a war 😭
