Hey. I got my nexplanon inserted in late January and the first month went well with no bleeding or whatsoever and after my first period, I’ve been bleeding twice a month for a bit over week. The last bleeding/period started 3 weeks ago and hasn’t stopped since. I went to my doctor and got POP (progesterone only pill) prescribed since my BMI is slightly over the effectiv amount of the combined pill. Took POP for a week and nothing changed. Stopped taking it, let myself free bleed for 3-4 days, went into Primrose evening oil and again, nothing changed in 3-4 days, now I’m on day 3 of Ibuprofen. Can’t even get intimate with someone, now that I’m seeing someone new especially. What should I do? Do I get it removed and switch to just POP, which I’m really hesitant about because it’s the same hormones as nexplanon. Do I hope and wait for it to settle down for another couple weeks? Literally on my knees, wishing for a normal life style. Please share your experience if anyone had the same problem and switched to different BC method🙏🙏
