I know the only real answer would be to call and speak to each individual school… but what’s the general consensus on applying as an ecmo specialist? The ecmo specialists on my unit float bedside often, and manage hemodynamics regularly… by the nature of the job you have to have a strong understanding of blood gases etc… generally speaking, do schools accept applications from ecmo specialists?
