For context, I prefer a balanced sound.... not too much bass or treble — so take this with that in mind.

I've gone through a few KZ IEMs over the years: started with their cheapest option (the ~500rs one, can't remember the name), then moved to the ZS10 and more recently tried the Castor. Each one taught me something, but none of them fully clicked with me.

This one does.

The mids are where it really shines.... clean and present, not muddy like I've experienced with some of the others. The bass has that satisfying weight to it, that "oomph" you want, but it doesn't steamroll everything else the way the Castor tends to. You feel it without losing detail in the mids and highs, which for me is the sweet spot.

The highs are smooth too..... no harsh, tinny peaks at the top end, and even when the bass hits hard it stays controlled, no distortion creeping in.

What really surprised me is the level of detail you get out of a single driver. That's not something I expected at this price point.

If your taste leans similar to mine..... balanced, detailed, nothing overdone... id genuinely recommend giving this a shot.
