Not really searching for housing, but I didn’t know which flair would fit the best haha.

My boyfriend and I are moving to Kansas City from the Springfield area. We’re super excited to be in the city. And I’m originally from the KC metro (blue springs specifically), so I’m really excited to be back.

That being said, I don’t know too much about being near the city since I lived in the suburbs.

We found an apartment we really like! It seems to be in a decent area, (right off of Roanoke rd, kinda tucked away in its own complex) but when we toured it was a Monday afternoon. So we’re not sure if it was an accurate representation of day to day life in that area.

So on to my questions. Is it a safe area? Is it walkable? It seemed pretty safe and walkable while we were there, but I wanted to double check. I noticed that the only walkable grocery store is Sunfresh, but we don’t mind driving for groceries.

Is Old Westport a good area? It seemed safe, just a little more historic.

I see that it’s near the Westport night life, which is an amenity because we love going out, but does it get too rowdy in the Roanoke area?

We’re super excited to try out the “city life” for the first time in our lives! But we wanna make sure we’re not getting our self in a pickle haha. Thanks in advance for the help!
