Long time lurker, first time (adult) sword buyer. I recently purchased the Balaur Arms Gallowglass Sword from KoA and it arrived today. I thought I was prepared with everything I needed (microfiber cloth, 3-in-1, Renaissance Wax for long-term storage) but realized I'd neglected to get isopropyl alcohol or anything to clean the manufacturer's grease from the blade. I'm assuming, given it was just shipped, that it would be safe to leave as-is until I am able to get to the store, but I'd hate to cause any harm to the blade before even getting a chance to use it. The guides for sword care and maintenance I've seen are not prescriptive regarding when to first clean a new sword, so any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!
