Hi everyone, this is the first time coming to reddit for advice, but I genuinely have no clue who to ask about this. I'm a high school junior and am taking a weight training class. I usually work out with for of my friends and we have a blast. Recently we have been getting along with a group of senior boys and the one im worried about is Tyler (not his real name ofc.) Tyler has been with is girlfriend literally all of high school, im talking since their freshmen year! Usually me and my friends laugh and make joke with Tyler and he has also being helping us do pull ups. I absolutely suck at them and need a little more help. with my friends he just helps them use a band to help them and is encouraging. For me, he usually gets my waist and helps me get up. I thought nothing of it as he was helping all of us and continued with life. But today I feel a little differently. Today our teacher decided to do a challenge. We had to do 48 burpees to start so I started with those and half way though I was so tired and he came next to me and finished with me to help encourage me. Then he helped me do pulls ups as that was apart of the challenge. After this time of him helping me, I felt like it was inappropriate as he had a girlfriend and just used the assisted pull up machine to do the rest of my reps. He constantly checked up on me asking what round I was on and stuff which was very nice of him. To end the workout the teacher wanted everyone to do another 48 burpees, and I was literally dying but I did them anyways, when I'm 10 burpees in, Tyler shows up and says he's bored and does them with me. This time we have a conversation as we workout. I told him I have practice today and I'm going to be so tired because of today's work out (which I still am) and he asked what practice I have, so I told him I'm a dancer. He then told me that he knew I did something because he sees the way I stretch. We continued talking about some interests and our career goals. Once we were done with the work out I left to the dressing rooms and that was the end of it. I could be over thinking it but was that interaction a red flag or is he being a regular nice guy. He's nice to everyone. I just really don't want to be the one to break his relationship up as his girlfriend is a really sweet girl. Thank you for whatever thoughts you have.
