have you ever met or heard of anyone named after a country in their name?
When I went to see some distant relatives on the island of Cyprus, I have noticed that there were some female relatives named "Kyproula"/"Κυπρούλα", meaning "Little Cyprus".
I have also found out there is a surname over there as well called "Kyprianoú (Κυπριανού)".
Hello, I've been extremely curious what living in breakaway states is like evrr since I have visited some relatives whom moved to Cyprus (South).
I've visited the Northern part around the city of Famagusta(Ammóchwstos)/Gazimağusta once when they took me to see the place. The city was surprisingly decent, but the region surrounding the DMZ was in catastrophic ruin; loads of poverty, barely inhabitable structures and so on and so forth, mainly when I crossed into Kátw Derýneia in the north.
When I went to the capital city, you could see the flag of Northern Cyprus at daytime and it would be illuminated at nighttime. I could see it out the house of my relatives there.
