A word about "sovereign citizens" and "Karens"
I indulge in police videos, a lot of them and something I see time and time again are these manipulative air thieves catching way too much air with their tongues. If you ever thought trying to reason with these people is fruitless, I agree. What you are likely dealing with is two flavors of the same mental pathologies - what you are likely dealing with are *NARCISSISTS*.
Narcissists, ESPECIALLY *drunk* narcissists cannot be reasoned with or explained anything. You are dealing with somebody who overestimates their own veracity and influence while underestimating yours, their entitlement is ruthlessly unwaivering, they're hopelessly in denial the same way you expect from an addict, and, everything they say and do is about nothing more than maintaining a veneer of respectability while evading accountability and controlling the situation.
How to identify and what to do:......in your line of work there is one main sign you will see......

They will reject your observations and reverse victim and offender by asking questions you already answered. Never will you ever get them present in the same reality you're in, so only answer questions once, maybe twice.
They will abuse your patience by treating the street like a courtroom believing they can settle the matter there, or just simply delaying the inevitable from happening.
No matter what flavor they are, you must assert zero tolerance for their defiant insolence. The longer you play into their mind games, the more you inadvertently validate and fuel their sense of control, and the more difficult they will be to apprehend. Don't attempt to negotiate or explain anything to these people, don't argue with them.....DOMINATE THEM with *SWIFT* escalation of control tactics. Give lawful orders and jump right to resistance charges the first time they don't comply.
Your patience and good will are precious gifts best reserved for suspects who demonstrate respect and accountability. Narcissists deserve nothing better than the monster guarding your self worth domain.
