Rainy started having seizures two years ago. She’s 7 years old now. Seizures began with startle instances. My brother in law was visiting and his chair fell backwards on the floor which triggered Rainy’s first known seizure. She’s on keppra every 8 hours. We arrange our schedules around her medication schedule. She had breakthrough seizures recently, but a dosage increase has worked well.

It’s tough to see but it was also heartachjng that with every instance, she would hobble over to me for rescue. She hobbled because her muscles contracted. It’s tough to feel so helpless in that situation. We hold her and speak comfortingly and confidently. I swear she stares into our eyes and trusts us. My husband was holding her in this video so we had something to show the vet.
