Pre-Surgery Nerves

Hey everyone!

My surgery is coming up this Wednesday. And up until now it's like the whole process hasn't felt real in a way? Last night I kind of freaked out because I've never had any surgery like this before and I'm just overall nervous about going under.

If anyone would be willing to share their experiences? Any tips on how to stay calm the days prior? I trust my surgical team and surgeon. I just .. I don't know, I'm just a little scared or nervous?

I'm also excited, but I don't know how to describe how it just hasn't felt like an actuality until now?

Hello everyone! First time posting! So whoo for this being the first thread I ever use!

I'm just seeking advice for those who are willing. Both pre-op and post op. My surgery date is 5/13 and I'm excited and nervous. Mostly because I've never had surgery before. I don't know how I'll react to the anesthesia and I'm low key freaking out about going under the knife. But I know this will be better for me in be long run. As I am committed to this change even though I've seen the posts of those who regret it or have gone through worse after surgery.

I'm also kind of concerned since the dietician said I didn't need to do the liver shrinking diet? The 2 week diet prior. Just the day before I need to be on clear liquids.

But a part of me thinks I should just do it at least a week prior. I don't know how they decide if I needed to or not. And when I met my doctor for my pre-op appointment he didn't say anything about it either.

So a part of me is asking should I do it anyways, and what are some recommendations for this clear liquid diet? I know they said heavy focus on like G2, Gatorade zero, or Powerade zero. But I'm worried I'm going to mess up somehow?

Any and all advice is welcomed! Thank you all in advance!
