My dad takes prednisone (cortisol, medium dose now, 15mg) and has to take it for at least 6 more months. He has gained some weigh and is really bummed about it. Is there any way to lose some weight while taking cortisol pills or is it just impossible?

He is already quite active, at least 10k steps a day and lots of everyday exercises like garden work. He doesn’t eat very healthy, lots of carbs and such. He is going to start eating lighter now. Will that help?
