I am going on a 3 day backpacking trip with friends in a few weeks. I am not usually a backpacker, so I don’t own any gear of my own. My dad and brother kinda are however, so I will be taking a lot of their essentials on the trip. My problem comes with the bag situation. We own two ajustable backpacks, bought for my dad and brother (5’10” & 6’0”), and I am a very short woman (4’11”). The lowest I can get the bags to go still puts the shoulder strap a good 3ish inches above my shoulder. I am aware that is not exactly ideal, but does that make the bags unwearable by me or could I reasonably get by with that for three days?
