It’s my first time getting fitted for sclerals and it’s not going well. I’m struggling answering questions about better or worse vision while reading the eye chart.
With one lens I might see sharper but then have very prominent, fully doubled lines. With another lens I might have less noticeable double vision and the images seem more aligned but my ability to recognize letters and images is worse.
I know this is a common issue, so surely I’m overthinking this. Is it best to choose a lens as the better one when the images seem more aligned, or when I can read better? I’ve already tried asking my optometrist about this, but the answer wasn’t very helpful.
Maybe I’m thinking about this all wrong. But if anyone has experience with this I’d be glad to hear which strategy gave you the best possible vision with sclerals.
