I love the name Kai, but my husband thinks it’s more of a nickname. He suggested Kailo and I loved it, too, but googled it and of course the Star Wars character Kylo Ren came up. Neither of us are Star Wars fans so that didn’t occur to either of us. But, I’m afraid we’d have to deal with people associating his full name to the franchise. Would we be in the clear with using this spelling? I want his nickname to be spelled Kai rather than Ky, another reason I like the spelling instead of Kylo.
