Can a first yearite do summer term?

I had a bad cg in first sem, tried pulling it in second sem but failed badly, have very bad cg at the end of first year, I am considering doing summer term here by doing some courses and pulling my CG.
Is this a good decision if I plan it?

Just asking out to alums here, how was SU app started, How did SU convinced admin to do this and who gives the credit money, Admin or Food Outlets themselves?
