The County Executive proposed a budget that, among other things, funds a new position to help support immigrants residents. Both republican council members have proposed cutting this from the budget and the council will vote on these (and other proposed cuts like to school funding) budget amendments at their Tuesday 5/5 meeting at 5:30.

I have seen a lot of people on here talking about wanting to support immigrants so you should email the Council at councilmembers@frederickcountymd.gov and tell them not to support this cut.
