70/30 vs 50/50 Advice

Hey everyone. I’ve been an SE for about 3 years now in the wireless industry, and my current OTE is $154k on a 70/30 split. I have other things such as RSUs with good benefits and whatnot, but that’s not what I’m currently concerned about. I have an offer for $250k OTE, but on a 50/50 split. I tend to prefer the 70/30 for the base stability despite the lower ceiling. However, that’s a significant total increase.

I’m just looking for any advice from folks that have done 50/50 in any capacity. I don’t have any details yet on what quota would look like and if it’s reasonably attainable and something I could truly perform on. Just doing some pre-work here. Thanks all.
