Post bariatric plastics experience with Klinik Europe

Thought I’d put this up because I spent ages on Reddit before booking, so might help someone else in the same position. I lost a fair bit of weight and was left with loads of loose skin. Started looking around and ended up going with Klinik Europe.

First thing I noticed, they weren’t pushy. They called me initially to set up a meeting with Ece the founder. It wasn’t one of them salesy calls in fact she asked me different questions I assume to make sure the timing for my surgery was right. They were pretty straight with me about what would actually work and what wouldn’t. Also explained what could be done in one go and what shouldn’t, which I appreciated.

**I paid a deposit £1,500 to Ece's UK account. That part made me really nervous but I know now that it is a must if you want a proper team meeting you and sorting you out.** Once I landed, everything was sorted. Transfers, hospital, hotel, all of it. You’re not wandering about trying to figure things out, which is exactly what you need in that situation.

**Went straight to the hospital for the blood tests and other tests for surgery then I was taken to a lovely hotel for the day.** My surgery was in the morning so I fasted through the night. Although the bed was comfy, I barely slept and cried a bit for no reason.
Next the surgery day! The team is absolutely lovely I must tell you this. The hospital is big, very clean and spacious. Met my surgeon who was a lovely gentleman who took his time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. He was sound, explained everything properly before going in which settled me a lot.I've had a video call with him earlier but this was the first time I met him in person. Then it was my turn and the last thing I remember was the theatre lights fading away. The surgery took 6 hours! Not gonna sugarcoat it, it’s proper surgery. First 24 hours are rough, but my private nurse that was assigned to me by Klinik Europe was just lovely. She didn't sleep at all and monitored me and helped me all night.

**Pain management**
Pain relief at the hospital is strong and well managed. Once you move to the recovery hotel, just make sure you ask if you need something stronger. I was fine with the tummy tuck, but the under the muscle implants were definitely more intense for the first couple of days.Klinik Europe nurses were great though, they always had what I needed on hand and sorted it quickly. Don’t try to push through it, just ask. It makes a big difference early on.

Aftercare was where they stood out for me. You’re not just sent on your way. There’s nurses checking in, dressings sorted, and you know what’s happening next. You’re not left guessing. One bit of advice, go for the all inclusive accommodation if you can. When you’re in that state, you don’t want to be thinking about food or anything like that. Just makes life easier.

Also worth mentioning, they have aftercare points in the UK, which gave me peace of mind. Once you’re back home, you’re not just left on your own, you can actually be seen and supported locally.

**Results so far**
Still early, but I can already see a big difference. Clothes fit better, and I just feel more normal in my body again. Hard to explain unless you’ve been through it.

**Pros**

* Everything is organised for you, takes a lot of stress off
* Straightforward communication, no pressure
* Strong aftercare, you’re not left on your own
* UK aftercare points make a big difference once you’re home
* Surgeon and medical team felt experienced and reassuring

**Cons**

* Antalya heat can be intense, especially in summer while recovering
* Travel itself can feel a bit tiring post surgery
* Being away from home during early recovery isn’t for everyone

For me, everything was well organised and I felt looked after the entire way through. If anyone’s thinking about it and wants to ask anything, feel free.
