got this haul in recently and finally had some time to actually go through everything properly
this one was a little more mixed than what i usually grab mostly everyday stuff like tees, a knit, shorts and jeans, plus some extra accessories, hats, a bag and sandals
overall first impressions were pretty decent. tops were probably the easiest part overall since most were comfortable enough right away and easy to style casually. tees were simple enough for daily wear, and the knit/streetwear pieces added a bit more variety. some pieces definitely felt a little better than others, but nothing really stood out badly
shorts and jeans were also straightforward and easy enough for casual outfits. overall this haul felt more practical than flashy, which was mostly what i was going for
accessories, hats and sandals seemed alright from first look too
overall just a normal pickup, nothing too crazy
I’m helping plan a private safari in Kenya/Tanzania that will include both grandparents and younger kids, so I’m trying to balance wildlife experiences with comfort and a more relaxed pace. Right now we’re looking at the Maasai Mara and Serengeti, but some itineraries seem very packed with long drives, early mornings every day, and constant moving between camps. I’d love to hear from families who have done a multi-generational safari and figured out what actually works in practice.
A few things I’m especially curious about:
Is a fully private safari worth it for families with grandparents?
Were there lodges or camps that felt especially comfortable and easy for older travelers?
How tiring are the travel days between parks in reality?
Did you build in downtime between game drives, or were most days packed?
Anything you wish you had planned differently for grandparents or kids?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has done a safari with multiple generations traveling together.
I am planning a private solo safari in Kenya and I want a Kenyan tour company that specializes in private experiences for women. I want to focus on the Maasai Mara and Serengeti but I need a company that can make the trip feel safe and empowering. I have been comparing Kenyan tour companies and the private quotes vary quite a bit. I just need a Kenyan tour company that knows how to handle private safaris for women.
Any suggestions for a Kenyan tour company that does private safaris for women well?
