Got my car (BMW 340i, not pictured) from the shop and this guy was parked up next to me. I was pretty interested.
Two door, manual, soft top, what also looked like manual windows too. Really cool cruising/seasonal car.
Hi guys, I’m a PPL student in my XC part of training. I fly a clapped out C150 that has its fair share of issues, including a janky heading indicator and compass.
It’s normal for the heading indicator to drift, but I’ve noticed from experience that the magnetic compass is starting to drift, too (and not just standard ANDS/UNOS). I’ve been using the heading indicator more for reliable navigation because I can adjust it (usually I set it to runway heading before takeoff). Makes it very annoying to navigate.
I know that the regs (91.205) say that you need it for VFR flight, but I can’t find anything about compass deviation legality. Me and my CFI did some experimenting, and it’s about 15 degrees off.
If someone could point me towards a citing/source I’d be very appreciative, been scanning Google to no avail. Thanks
Hey guys, thought I’d showcase some of my art. I don’t post here much.
Recent art from the last two months or from my time in flight school, I like sketching my surroundings on paper, then transferring it to digital.
