If you’re nervous or just don’t want to be sedated you can opt for a virtual colonoscopy. From what I read detection is better than traditional and it also scans pelvic area .Only downfall if theres polyps they have to go back in the traditional way.

I read some Dr do a prostate exam while under anesthesia during a colonoscopy,do they need a separate consent form?

Is manual abdominal pressure done by a nurse on every colonoscopy and how often do they move you from your side to your back (supine)?

Not scared about anesthesia.I just want to know who will be in the room.Maybe paranoid? I don’t want people in the room I haven’t met beforehand .Is that weird. I’ve read sometimes med students , sales reps and other medical staff just walk in.
