Anyone have any luck with preference deposits?
Currently looking for a 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross XLE FWD with the convenience and JBL packages added. Preferred color combination is Cypress exterior with Portobello interior.
Corolla Crosses with the convenience package seem abundant, but not so much with the JBL package.
I placed a deposit with a dealer who was sure they could get one in their upcoming month’s allocation, but haven’t heard much from them since.
There is one vehicle matching this configuration within 500 miles of me but when I called the dealer about it (in transit from factory) they said it was already sold.
Do I need to let go of the preferred exterior color? There is one near me that has everything but the Cypress exterior (it is white). Just trying to gauge if I should hold out for preferred color or capitulate to the boring exterior color . . .
