First class of Summer Session, Canvas is still down so we had to address this in addition to all other beginning of term business. Student emails me after class to say they were sick, and “I was wondering if there was any important content, announcements, or materials that I missed during class, and if there is any way I could catch up on the material.”

Every possible response that’s going through my head right now would get me fired. Can cooler heads prevail and help me out here? Please?
