Has anyone ever taken the Salmon Berry Tour transfer from Anchorage to Whittier that stops at the Girdwood Brewery and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center?
I have it booked in a couple of weeks and I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular tour. I’m starting to get nervous about making sure I get to the ship on time so I’d feel better if I could hear from someone who has done this one!
I will be visiting in a couple of weeks in advance of a cruise. I’ve done a lot of research, but I thought I would get some local input.
I’m looking for a fun place to eat breakfast downtown…preferably near the Anchorage Museum…but I don’t want have to wait a long time. It looks like some of the popular places (like Snow City Cafe which is also further away) typically have really long wait times even on weekdays. I’m trying to pack a lot in the one day, so I want someplace I can get in and out of fairly quickly so I can be at the museum when it opens at 10am.
I’m also open to quick lunch recommendations downtown! I have a tour booked to the Alaskan Native Heritage center that leaves downtown (the visitor center area) at 1pm so I will probably want to grab something quick before that leaves.
