Bear with me here…choosing light strip for Sim Rig
Hey guys! I play alot of sim racing and flight/space sims. I built a rig! I need help with LED lighting.
My goal here is to add underglow (will get some govee cob lights for under the rig) but I want some accent lighting somewhere on the arms…mimicking like a dash trim light? Or like a spaceship cockpit lighting. I want govee or hue unless someone knows a cheaper brand that I can sync with sim hub so I don’t need to change the colors on the arms myself. It will just react to whatever the cockpit lighting is. I do not want a cheap $5 amazon light strip, I want it diffused.
In my head to get this done I would want to add lights inside the 4040 aluminum slots. Chat Gpt tells me to just install the lights under the arms but I don’t know if that will give me what I’m going for. Nice subtle low lighting that syncs with sim hub. I have the hue play bars above my monitor (in case someone suggests that)
Has anyone done this? The only options I’m seeing right now is govee COB strips. Otherwise I’m stuck looking for some type of car trim accent strip that’s super thin but won’t sync with sim hub (I don’t think). Any suggestions or questions welcome. Thanks!!
