Please help 🙏 in deciding

Is it worth leaving IIM Jammu, IIM Sambhalpur, IIM Bodhgya, IIM Sirmaur for NIBM pune?

I want to have good exposure in either core Finance or consulting but definitely sales is not my domain so no sales masked finance roles. I don't have any specific preference towards banking may be may be not but I am definitely sure that I want good mnc exposure in core finance or consulting

Is it worth leaving IIM brand for NIBM (niche mba) or the placement exposure of NIBM , I can get in these IIMs also?

Any current students of these colleges please guide in deciding which institute to choose 🙏

Need help from IIM Jammu students (current/ recent alumini/🙏

I’m trying to understand the real placement situation at IIM Jammu from current students / recent alumni, because I keep seeing very mixed opinions on Reddit and other places.I have a few honest questions:

1.I keep reading that IIM Jammu placements are mostly sales / relationship management / lead generation / sales target-based banking roles, and that around 70–80% of jobs are of this nature. Is this actually true in reality, or is this an exaggeration? Real % of these kinda jobs?

2.For people who want to go into finance or consulting, or who want to avoid sales roles completely, does IIM Jammu really offer enough exposure and placement opportunities in those domains? Or is the campus placement environment still too sales-heavy for that? Real % of other opportunities mostly for Finance/ consulting/ strategy?

3 How reliable is the official placement report of IIM Jammu? Does it reflect the real picture properly, and what is the actual in-hand salary after considering fixed pay, variable pay, deductions, etc.?

4.If someone already has around 2 years of experience in risk domain, will they still not be able to get decent finance or consulting roles from IIM Jammu? Or does the placement profile still mostly push such candidates into sales-like roles?

  1. Is it fair to say that 70–80% of the roles are sales-oriented, and that very few reputed global MNCs visit, with most recruiters being smaller companies or startups? Or is that perception not accurate?

I'm asking because I’m trying to understand whether IIM Jammu is a good fit for someone who wants to continue in finance / risk / consulting / corporate roles, and does not want to end up in sales-heavy jobs. Would really appreciate genuine replies from current students or recent graduates who have seen the process closely and no misinformation please it will really help current students to decide 🙏 Thanks a lot!!
