Custom help: MCU Colleen Wing (best base body, reused parts, and head options?)
Hey everyone,
I’m planning to make a custom Marvel Legends of MCU Colleen Wing based on her look from Iron Fist / The Defenders (Jessica Henwick version), since we only got her in the Defenders 5-pack and there isn’t a standalone figure.
Before I start buying fodder, I wanted to ask for advice from people who know the line and reuse patterns better than me.
A few things I’m trying to figure out:
- What would be the best base body to use for a realistic MCU-style Colleen? Height/build accuracy matters, but articulation and proportions too.
- Are there other Marvel Legends figures that reuse parts from the Defenders 5-pack Colleen Wing figure (arms, torso, legs, sweater, etc.)? I’d love to identify easy donor figures.
- Any recommendations for similar head sculpts that could work for Jessica Henwick with minimal repainting/modification? Marvel Legends or even other 1/12 lines are welcome.
- For her outfit, would you recommend starting from a biker/jacket body, a female ninja body, or mixing parts?
- If anyone has made a custom MCU Colleen already, I’d love to see recipes or hear what worked and what didn’t.
I’m mainly aiming for her classic street-level look from Iron Fist / The Defenders rather than comic-style Colleen.
