Taking a step back on the scaling of Deku's final punch.

Taking a step back on the scaling of Deku's final punch.

It’s really cute how scalers are going all out with Deku’s cloud-dispersing punch to up the show’s power levels:

All of those assume absurd things like – “the clouds moved away in 0.226 seconds” because Deku is still in the air. And another one assumes 0.07140459988 s... How the hell do you get 0.07140459988 seconds off a manga panel??? Dude, you don’t have even the slightest idea how high Deku jumped. He might be still flying up with his punch, how the hell does one assume any number of seconds based on a single panel for such a calculation?

Then after multiple absurdly pumped up assumptions they get continental level of energy because Deku’s punch moved away the clouds, like, really fast...

Here is how much energy is actually more than sufficient to move some extremely high clouds quite quickly:

Take a close look at the picture. 50 Megatons TNT – that’s very very much energy, which can move many many clouds. But that is city level – that’s it.

And people are scaling Deku’s feat to continental level? That would be exatons of TNT. 1 Exaton equals 200 billion Tsar Bombs! It is quite hilarious that people actually defend the idea that 200 billion Tsar Bombs are required to disperse 100-200 km of clouds. I mean, yes, that would disperse the clouds, no doubt about it – just as an air strike would definitely destroy a wasp nest... along with the friggin neighborhood.

If Deku had unleashed the energy of 200 billion Tsar Bombs into the atmosphere with his punch, there would be nothing left of his surroundings. However, the actual aftermath was that everybody around him survived unharmed. In the anime, even his surroundings were completely unchanged.

Continental level means damaging a whole continent, not moving 100-200 km of clouds around. So, based on the clouds alone one can conclude that this is at least a city level punch.

However, vaporizing AFO is the actual feat here. By chain scaling, that places the feat higher than city level, but using the dispersed clouds to calculate continental levels of energy is simply nonsense and people be dead serious repeating that in arguments... Like I said – very cute.

Edit: mixed up OFA and AFO XD
