I know I post a lot. But is this a sign of tail rot?

He has been shedding recently. But this has been like this since before he started shedding. I’ve seen some severe cases from other reddits. But not sure about mine.

Tail becoming grayer and dull after shedding. There is before and after pics.

Baby’s vet appointment is coming up in 2 weeks for a new patient appointment. But I’ve noticed a color change after shedding. He was wiping his tail against his basking log, as if he’s trying to itch.
