Dream job to disaster: offer revoked after salary cut. Freshers are disposable?
A friend got placed at BrowserStack through campus for an SDET role.
First, the expected CTC was 17 LPA. Then 3 months before joining, it dropped to ~10 LPA (no clear explanation).
He still continued since placement rules stopped him from applying elsewhere.
They even sent joining goodies… and now, just 2 months before joining, the offer is suddenly revoked.
Now he’s left with no job, missed opportunities, and is mentally exhausted.
Is this normal? What are freshers supposed to do in situations like?
