Hi everyone, I’m getting ready to do my first mn session while I wait for the curenex, and I’m so nervous to start. Can someone look at my supplies and lmk if this looks good? I’m going to do my stomach first. Tips appreciated!!

A couple things

* My leftover nebulizer saline is for inhalation purposes only. Our pharmacy didn’t have any sterile saline. Suggestions for where to find it?

* The surgical pen is so I can draw the mn boundary on my stomach to ensure it all gets cleaned, lidocained, and needled.

* Extra drape is to wrap around the pen for use as a “sleeve.” The dr. Pen YouTube demo included a sleeve.

* I have 70% isopropyl wipes and spray for different uses. Also got Hibiclens because it’s used medically and I’m afwaid.

* After care: I plan to use curenex and saline for immediate aftercare, and LRP Cica gel when it’s safe. The Baum gives me milia.

* I got these bowls I plan to use to… pour the saline in?? Idk. How do people do that?

Any advice so appreciated!!

I have a new PT who “specializes” in hEDS and the hyper-mobility spectrum. The website really talked it up.

During session, she mainly does manual release for about 15 minutes, then heat for 10. The release feels good some of the time and is incredibly painful other times. She really pushes on my piriformus and glute muscles. I jerk up and tighten my butt. And the dry needling… I couldn’t handle it.

I have been incredibly inflamed in my SI joints since starting, but I don’t know if it’s the release work or the exercises, or something else.

I’d love to get a sense of what other people do with their therapist so I have something to compare it to, if anyone can share.
