Wild ducks in yard

Hello,

My Mom lives in the Frisco, Texas area and has wild ducks in her yard that won't leave and the female has now laid 10 eggs in the bushes next to her pool. She doesn't know what to do with them and is worried about the babies falling into the pool, and also getting killed by cats, etc. She has called local wildlife rescues and they won't get back to her or they say they are protected and she can't do anything. She is also about to go out of the country on a vacation soon for 2 weeks and is really worried about the situation. What can she do?
