Hey all- pool is down awaiting new liner and the old one is torn off. I have a pentair amerbrite 120v light that is great and still working after about 18 years.

I am thinkingq while the pool is gutted of replacing/upgrading the light. (Remote/app control/led/ colors/ stepping down to 12v are all options I'm exploring)

I'm wondering if during this replacement- should I replace the niche? Or remove and replace any gaskets? I don't see any issues/ rust or discoloration with it.

I know I'm likely kicking a hornets nest as I have had no trouble with this light- but I'm trying to be proactive as the wire behind the light for service did feel a bit weathered. Thanks for any feedback.
