I’m a Social Work student from Belgium working on a research project about gentrification and social change in urban neighbourhoods. I chose La Ribera because it’s one of the most talked-about examples of rapid transformation in Barcelona — and I want to hear the story from the people who actually live there.
I’m not looking for statistics or news articles — I’m genuinely curious about your personal experience:
• How long have you lived in La Ribera, and how has the neighbourhood changed during that time?
• Do you feel the changes have been positive, negative, or both?
• Has the community feel shifted? Do you still know your neighbours?
• Has the cost of living, rent, or daily life become harder to manage?
• Do you feel heard by local authorities when it comes to these changes?
There are no right or wrong answers — every perspective matters, whether you love the neighbourhood or feel pushed out of it.

Elegí La Ribera porque es uno de los ejemplos más destacados de transformación rápida en Barcelona — y quiero escuchar la historia de las personas que realmente viven allí.
No busco estadísticas ni artículos de prensa — me interesa genuinamente vuestra experiencia personal:
• ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas viviendo en La Ribera y cómo ha cambiado el barrio durante ese tiempo?
• ¿Sientes que los cambios han sido positivos, negativos, o ambas cosas?
• ¿Ha cambiado el sentido de comunidad? ¿Todavía conoces a tus vecinos?
• ¿Se ha vuelto más difícil el coste de vida, el alquiler o el día a día?
