How to do a rule based algo trading?
I’m a beginner in the field of algo trading, my background is non tech.
I have a strategy in mind to do intra day trades in the momentum / high volume stocks. But execution is the key. I do a full time so i can’t sit with laptop doing trading. Even if i do, im certainly going to miss the trades without having a robust system in place to take rule based trades automatically. Lets say xyz stock if the price crosses some level, place buy order as soon as the price is hit along with target and SL. If i do it manually I’ll most certainly miss the trade. i want a system in place that will keep looking continuously for my rule across a basket of 500 stocks (let’s say price crosses some sort of daily moving average) and then place trade in it. I do have a fyers account but can anyone guide me through what should be my plan of action and if this goal is achievable and if anyone is doing this already or my plan is not practical. Apologies if my question is very basic for this sub because I’m a newbie in this field still trying to understand how trading / algo works?
