Great to be back to C++!!!

I went to Java then Scala... then realized my code's performance sucked and C++ 17 was awesome and the portability issue is now moot.

Plus NASA's guidelines for coding where you allocate all you need upfront and never again suits me fine to not need that time consuming performance killing garbage collector.

Just to say glad to be back!

Frankly sick and tired of the Oligarchs and their lobbies, and the fact the average person from the street has 0 chances of making it to a position of power.

There is no "career" to be made as a "politician".

All we see are lobbies, special interest and a system corrupt to the core. So corrupt the corrupt part itself is now putrefying.

And a Split "make you believe there is competition" one "Reichpartei" i.e Democrats and Republicans and no other voice.

Like in all rotten systems the core is now... well... rotten.

The Oligarchs don't hide anymore their disdain of the commoners.

In France in 1789 they replaced the corrupt inept rotten to the core Aristocracy with a Parliamentary system favoring the Bourgeoisie.

The next Revolution can and shall implement Athenian style rule by lot, Sortition.

Just change Jury duty rule and expand it to select a parliament and leaders at random.

It may not be the perfect system but way better than the crap we have now, itself way better than the dictatoships we see around the planet.

If we want to avert chaos and a Revolution, maybe some current crop of politicians would listen and relinquish power to the people.

Like Town Hall meetings BUT to make decisions and let the people decide. And let whoever is in charge be the mere vector of People's will.

Basically whoever believes in Sortition shall run for office advertising it and the steps they will carry to create their own people's assembly that will decide as they are a simple messenger of it.

Might not work with sociopaths and those who generally seek power though but a stop gap measure to evolve into that system.
