Hello! I'm writing a story and one of my characters lives in Palm Springs, the other one lives in Phoenix. It happens during 2025.

Anyway, I want it to have some realism and since I'm not from there either from the USA I've been doing research on the internet about subsidy, unemployment and so on. How's the education system there when it comes to elementary school, rent, jobs, the weather throughout the year, any festivities exclusive to this area or to California in general, any events you recall, what are the usual children's shows, adult shows, channels on TV, places to eat that are popular, how's the salary?? I don't know what else to ask, if you want to give any extra information I will be happy to read.
