Principal said that we are coming from 'very far away.' We came from Istanbul, we are Turkish, medium socioeconomic status and both me and my partner hold PhD's, so I am guessing that the reason is the first part...

And I know that this is purely racism, because we are medium socioeconomic status and my partner and I both hold PhD's so it's not classism. Just racism.
