I finally finished The Desert Storm/The Rise and Fall

I finally finished and am all caught up with blue_sunshines epic series The Desert Storm and the Rise and Fall and I am BIG SAD ABOUT IT! I now have to wait for updates and for the reunion and I know they are posting a lot slower now. this story is so damn good. it got me back into Star Wars and the fandom. it’s such a beautiful character exploration and also one of the most tender and accurate representations of PTSD and trauma I’ve ever read. the characters in this series are so beautiful and I love them all so much and I love how much I’ve gotten to know these legends/eu characters and all these different Jedi.

anyway. just wanted to let someone other then my husband know I’ve read this behemoth of a Star Wars fanfic and it’s my favorite thing ever. ugh. I frickin love Star Wars.

my periods WRECK me! they make my symptoms a million times worse. I get so exhausted, my brain turns to mush and I get such bad flare ups for almost my entire period. I can barely function while on my period and it sucks so much. no matter what I eat, how much I drink or what I do, I’ll always start feeling like shit. and then I get off my period and I’m back to my baseline.

does anyone else experience this? it’s just annoying it happens once a month. and before anyone asks, I have serious stroke risk (dad, grandma, grandpa, great grandpa all had strokes) and my gyno and I agree I will never be on birth control. so I just have to deal with it

I’ve been wanting to try beta blockers and I was wondering why my doctor’s never mentioned them to me before. and it turns out I’m not a good candidate for them at all. I have long haul covid, asthma and small airways disease. I have a fairly persistent wet cough, not hacking up a lung all the time, but I cough up phlegm probably 4-7 times a week, maybe more during allergy season or if I’ve been sick. my doctor is specifically a lung specialist but she ordered the tilt table test for me and diagnosed me with POTS. But yeah my lung and breathing issues definitely wouldn’t work well with beta blockers from what I’ve read.
Anyone else with lung issues have a similar problem? I guess I just need to keep doing my Pilates and biking and drinking a shit ton of liquid.
